• Usage & Device: IP address, user agent, referrer, and usage metrics collected through analytics tools.
• Payments: Managed through Stripe Checkout. We receive limited payment metadata but not card numbers.
• User Content: Documents, notes, quotes, and related metadata you upload to the platform.
• Support: Information from emails or messages you send to our support team.

3. How We Use Data

• Operate, maintain, and improve the Service.
• Authenticate users and manage access.
• Process payments through Stripe Checkout.
• Measure and improve performance through analytics.
• Prevent fraud, abuse, and policy violations.

You retain ownership of your uploaded content. You grant us a license to host, process, and display it solely to operate and improve the Service.

When you share quotes or excerpts publicly, you grant Pentathlos a limited commercial license to display, distribute, or feature them (e.g., through the Quotes API or discovery tools).

Shared quotes can be deleted at any time, though cached or archived copies may persist temporarily.

8. Data Retention

We retain account data for as long as your account is active. Payment data is retained per applicable tax and financial regulations. Uploaded content is retained until deleted by the user or account closure.

Your data may be processed or stored in the United States. Where required, we implement safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent mechanisms.
